​FIRE DEPARTMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

I serve Adams County's volunteer fire departments as Fire Department Photographer, and have been doing so for the past 17 years. I also contribute photos of Ohio State Highway Patrolmen/ Patrolwomen to the OSHP Georgetown Post, as I wish to honor them as well.

 

  The benefits of fire photography are multifaceted. The photos taken may supply information that will aid in securing an insurance settlement or  provide evidence in cases where arson is suspected. I have had the good fortune to have received helpful instruction in Arson Photography from our State Fire Marshal who requests photos on occasion. Fire photography also provides a means for quality control that benefits our department chiefs, documenting detail that may otherwise go unseen. 

 

Our local community has been very generous in their donations of clothing and household items for fire victims, which I deliver to those in need. I often remain in contact with these families as long as they need assistance.

    

  I feel blessed to have the opportunity to honor the men and women who are willing to risk their lives to save the  lives and property  of others.
